Normality update

28th July 2020

A message out to all customers and suppliers following the easing of restrictions following four months of health guidelines.

We are now fully back to work and conforming to our new shift structure that was originally put in place to fall in line with government advice. For the foreseeable future we will be working to the following times on the factory floor:

Monday – Wednesday 07:00 – 17:00 (10 hour shifts)
Thursday 07:00 – 16:30 (9.5 hour shift)
Friday closed for manufacture (no operators) open via phones and email for collections and deliveries all day with Dave Connaway our MD in attendance.
Saturday, Sunday – factory closed but we are still contactable by email.

We see this structure as a beneficial move towards reducing carbon emissions and traffic on the road by 20% as well as minimising human contact and improving social distancing 1 day per week. Every little helps. We also continue with the stance of not conducting factory tours, but we will inform you all when this situation changes.

Away from formalities we thought we would bring you some positive news related to COVID. Since the restrictions came into place, we have been working solidly with a long term client, manufacturing vital components for ICU medical pumps. They have had a monumental increase in orders understandably from within the health industry. We have worked tirelessly to meet their requirements, which again goes some way to us helping the planet getting through this testing time.

Interestingly as a nice bit of additional information for you all, we have utilised the quiet time on Fridays and had all major machinery suppliers visit and service/ repair all the equipment. Social distancing was therefore much simpler with no Cirrus factory staff using the machinery, as well as not needing to take the equipment out of action with operators doing nothing, therefore improving overall efficiency.
