Computer Aided Design (CAD/CAM)
We use the latest Windows based Licom Alpha Cam and Trumpf ToPS software for producing CNC code for our Trumpf and Flow Machines and AP100 for the Amada Press Brake. All machines are networked to the file server, for down loading CNC code. Alpha Cam now with Mill Option is used for geometry generation, checking customer .dxf and .dwg files, CNC code for the VMC and producing dimensioned drawings for shop floor manufacture.
In 2013 we added Solid Works to our software suites enabling 3D Cad files to be downloaded from customers to complement our design capability. Solid Works will be helping customers with development at the early design stage, where we can suggest alternatives to reduce manufacturing costs or include additional design features for subsequent operations. We can also receive customer files directly from the Internet in .dxf, .dwg or .igs format.
